Notice of Proposed Development – Application # 10.2026.3

Walcha Council has received an application from A Hallman on behalf of PW Betts seeking development consent to undertake additions to an existing truck depot at 305 Darjeeling Road, Walcha. The proposal involves the construction of an industrial building with a total floor area of 2205m² consisting of a two-storey central area to be used for storage, and parts rooms with the two ends of the building to be open plan workshops with allowance made for two drop in truck maintenance pits. This proposed workshop is intended to replace the existing workshop building, which collapsed during the August snowstorm.

Available for viewing are the Site Plan and Statement of Environmental Effects until Friday 20 February 2026. 

Any person may make a written submission in relation to the development application. Submissions must be received by Walcha Council in writing before close of business on
20 February 2026.
