Public Exhibition – Draft Conflict of Interest in Development Assessment Process

Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on Wednesday 24 June 2026 endorsed the public exhibition of the  DRAFT Conflict of Interest in the Development Assessment Policy.

 The Draft Policy outlines how conflicts of interest associated with Council-related development applications will be identified, managed and documented, and is a requirement of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2021.

The policy is on public exhibition from Wednesday 15 July to Sunday 9 August 2026.

Council will accept submissions on the Draft Policy until 11:59pm on Sunday 9 August 2026. Submissions must be in writing, must quote reference number: W26/166 and be submitted by email to council@walcha.nsw.gov.au or posted to PO Box 2, Walcha 2354 or in-person at Council Office at 2W Hamilton Street Walcha.
