Walcha Council conducted regional meetings throughout our local government area. We thank those members of the community who attended these sessions as they provided invaluable feedback.
At these meetings we discussed:
- Next years Budget including our 2024/25 Capital Works (link to Draft Operational Plan)
- Asked you for input on how best to allocate $933,157 of the final round of Local Road and Community Infrastructure Funding to spend in 2024/25. (link to Council Report submitted to April 2024 Meeting)
- How to become a Councillor – what it means, the challenges and rewards of community leadership.
- Update on current projects and what we’ve delivered this year.
- Feedback on our draft Renewable Energy Community Benefit Policy and draft Voluntary Planning Agreement with WinterbourneWind.
- The Community Survey which we asked you to fill in.
We also created a Community Report for discussion at the Meetings.
If you didn’t get a chance to attend these Meetings please feel free to:
- Send in a submission on our Draft Operational Plan. This includes ideas on the Budget etc as well. Send via email or mail – we need them by Friday 7 June 2024!
- Complete a Community Survey and return to our Council Office. We have copies available at the Council as well – we need these by Friday 7 June 2024 too!
- Submit your views on the Local Road & Community Infrastructure Funding via email or letter, by Friday 7 June 2024.
- Submit your views on the Renewable Energy Community Benefit Policy and / or the Winterbourne Wind Pty Ltd Voluntary Planning Agreement by Wednesday 12 June 2024.
