Community Strategic Plan Survey
Council is required to review our Community Strategic Plan (CSP) at the start of each new Council term. This is a strategic document that describes the community’s vision and aspirations for a period of ten or more years and addresses 4 key questions:
- Where are we now?
- Where do we want to be?
- How will we get there?
- How will we know we have arrived?
Creation of the CSP is led by the Council, but relies on engagement and input from the community. This is your plan for our future. Council has an important role in preparing this plan.
There are many factors that influence our quality of life in Walcha. Your Council has responsibilities for roads, recreation and open spaces, water, waste, community services, local planning and development. Your Council can play a crucial role in facilitating, advocating, and supporting various initiatives that fall outside its direct control, such as access to healthcare, education, fresh food and groceries, and essential services. It is important that you tell us about your aspirations for our community and the region as a whole. It will be up to your Council to implement strategies that have us heading in the right direction.
Council will be capturing this information via our Community Strategic Plan Survey – below This survey will be open throughout the month of March. For a paper version, please visit Council’s offices and our friendly customer service team will provide you with a copy.
If you do not wish to answer a particular question, please type N/A where necessary to progress through the survey.
