In October 2024 Council resolved to place on public exhibition the Draft Plan of Management for Community Land & Crown Reserves (the Draft Plan).
Under the Local Government Act, 1993, Council is required to have a plan of management in place for all public land under its care, control and management. This includes both Council owned public reserves as well as Crown Land reserves in Council’s management.
The Draft Plan does not include any significant changes to existing use or activities on public reserves but will enable the formal adoption of management provisions to protect and enable both new and ongoing uses in accordance with legislative requirements.
Council is inviting submissions in response to the exhibition of the Draft Plan. Submissions must be in writing and can be submitted by mail, in person or by email to council@walcha.nsw.gov.au. Submissions must be received by 28 April 2025.
