NOTICE OF LEVEL 2 WATER RESTRICTIONS

Local Government (General) Regulation 2005
Due to warm weather conditions and the reduced water levels/flows in the Macdonald River; Level 2 Water Restrictions have been put in place for consumers connected to the Walcha town water supply. Level 2 Water Restrictions have taken effect from: –

- Dripper systems and hoses may be used for up to 2 hours per day.
- Unattended watering systems of any nature, including sprinklers and underground watering systems; may not be used.
- A permit is required for filling a swimming pool or spa over 2,000L. Top up via hoses is only allowed for 2 hours per day.
- Properties with alternate water supplies must display a sign clearly visible from the street.
Note: No restrictions shall apply where there is a risk of an accident, fire or hazard to health, safety or the environment.
Use of water contrary to this notice may result in restriction of the water supply and penalties.
