Voting – Frequently Asked Questions
Nominations to be a Councillor – Nominations for Candidates to become a Councillor are now OPEN – from 5 August 2024 and they close at 12 noon on Wednesday 14 August 2024. Nominations can be done online or at the Returning Office at 214 Beardy Street, Armidale or at Walcha Council, 2W Hamilton Street Walcha.
On the NSW Electoral Commission website there is lots of information available for Candidates.
Check Your Enrolment – People can check their enrolment status HERE
Prepoll – Walcha Council will be running PrePoll voting at Council Chambers the week before the election, Monday 9 September until Friday 13 September 2024.
Election Day – There are two Election Day Polling Places within Walcha’s Local Government Area:
- Walcha Central School; and
- Woolbrook Public School
