Walcha Preschool

The preschool licence is held by Walcha Council and all administration functions are carried out by the Walcha Council. Walcha Preschool aims to provide a friendly, caring and educational environment for children, parents and caregivers.

The Preschool accepts each child and family as they are, and values the individuality of all people who use the preschool. Walcha Preschool caters for special needs, including disabled parking.

A safe, relaxed learning environment for Preschool aged children outside the home creative play that is child focused. By employing trained and experienced staff, programs are created for the individual child as well as the group, with no emphasis being placed on the finished product. It is the ‘doing’ that is important.

Walcha Preschool is in close contact with other early childhood services in the area such as Early Childhood Intervention. Walcha Early Intervention provides family centred individualised educational programs that are child centred and activity based. The programs can be carried out through home visits, playgroup, individual session in the Early Intervention building, preschool integration or therapy sessions.

Enrolments

Walcha Preschool manages all enrolments through MyXplor office. Re-enrolling needs to be completed every year. It’s easy to enroll, simply follow the instructions below:

  1. For families wanting to enroll at Walcha Preschool, click the link below.  You will then be taken through our enrolment form process which will create your account.  
  2. Complete the online registration form, including all necessary documents including your child’s immunisation history.
  3. You will be contacted by the Administration Officer about your booking. Preschool will try its best to offer a place that matches your requirements.
  4. Once this is completed, your child’s place is secured.

Contact the Preschool at 6777 2117 if you would like to have an orientation visit before your child’s first day.

A printable version of the Enrolment Form with the Government Consent attached is also available from the Preschool or Council office.  Please complete the enrolment form and return along with your child’s immunisation history statement to the preschool or email it to preschool@walcha.nsw.gov.au
