Lacey Latham, Environmental Services Manager

Council’s aim is to conserve, protect and enhance the natural and built environment of the Walcha Local Government Area to improve the quality of life for our community and future generations. Walcha Council has primary responsibility for ensuring that the sensitive local environment is retained and, where possible, enhanced through the application of appropriate building and development controls for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

The Environmental Services Department has a staff of nine and is responsible for the following functions:

  • Public Health.
  • Strategic Planning.
  • Town Planning.
  • Animal Control.
  • Community Services.
  • Building Control.
  • Environmental Protection.
  • Council Buildings and Amenities Maintenance.

Clr Eric Noakes

Ward B

First Elected to Council on 10 September 2016.

Elected as Mayor on 28 September 2016. Re-elected unopposed on 22 December 2021.
